Face Mask DIY: Honey and Matcha Green Tea| Natural

I’ve always loved making my own face masks. It’s strangely satisfied smothering my own little creation on my face. I believe making your own face mask is the best way to nourish your skin because you are applying fresh and natural ingredients on your face rather than ready made face masks that have tons of ingredients and preservatives..
The main reason I love making my own face masks is because you can really personalize it depending on your skin needs. My blog has a lot of DIY face masks so please check out some of the others. My personal favorite is the one I am posting today – honey and green tea face mask. I didn’t use any old honey and bag of green tea. The rule is simple; the better the ingredients (quality and active wise); the better and more nourishing they are for your skin.
This honey and green tea face mask is really easy and quick to make you just need the two ingredients;
Active Manuka Honey 15+ – This is a pharmaceutical grade honey which can be used for medical purposes. It is produced in New Zealand by bees that pollinate the Manuka bush. It has high antibacterial and anti inflammatory components which help battle spots, acne, acne scars. It also hydrates the skin and helps with oil production balance (great for oily skin also!).
Matcha Green Tea – This is a very unique type of green tea; it is a very powerful anti-oxidant rich blend. It helps even the skin tone and reduce inflammation which is great if you have any redness. It also has a very green distinct color and when you mix the honey with the green tea you end up looking like kermit when you’ve applied it. The things we do for beauty! The benefits outweigh x1000 than the drawbacks of looking like kermit for less than half an hour
