Airbrush Makeup. What is it and is it right for me?
What is Airbrush Makeup?
Airbrush is makeup (water based or silicone based) that is sprayed onto the skin using an airbrush machine instead of being applied with sponges, brushes, fingers, etc. The makeup becomes a fine mist and is sprayed onto the skin.
How is it different from traditional makeup?
Traditional makeup is placed on the skin and blended out using the methods described above where as airbrushing sprays a fine mist of makeup that sits evenly on your skin. It provides flawless coverage (sheer or opaque), by minimizing skin imperfections while giving skin a natural finish. Results you can expect are:
High definition close-up friendly finish.
The spray dot pattern the airbrush achieves registers less on camera than the finish brushes and sponges leave behind. However invisible they may appear to the naked eye, they can be quite noticeable on Hi-Definition Photos, where as the pixels an HD camera uses does not read the dots an airbrush gun uses (pixels are dots and airbrush sprays in a dot pattern).
Superior coverage with a light weight feel.
Whatever your skin issue - dark spots, broken capillaries, acnes scars, these can be easily covered and perfected with airbrush makeup while keeping the finish light and natural looking and feeling (most clients say the airbrush makeup is in-perceivable on their skin).
Unbeatable longevity and durability.
Traditional makeup can be both durable and long lasting but can not compare to the long lasting results you achieve with airbrush makeup. Airbrushed makeup can literally last for a full day (we use Temptu's Hydrolock 24 hour & Temptu SB 16 hour airbrush makeup) and stays fresh without melting, even under extreme weather conditions. It’s a life saver for people with super oily skin without the need of frequent touch ups.
Best for problematic skins.
For skin with irritable conditions, such as rosacea, eczema and active acne breakouts, airbrush application does not cause further sensitivities through physical contact. It’s also superior at hiding uneven skin textures. Compared to traditional application, it does not sink into the skin and will not exaggerate undesired textures such as dry flakes or enlarged pores.
Is airbrush makeup right for me?
Will be filmed or photographed closely by HD camera;
Have skin problems;
Need superior longevity;
Just want to try it.
Will airbrush makeup guarantee a better makeup result?
No. A good makeup result relies on the talent of your makeup artist, not the method of application. Airbrush is a longer lasting option that reads much better on HD film and in the right hands is the best option for a bride or anyone who will be filmed or attending a special event.
