Correctors Vs. Concealers

Skin Correctors

What are Correctors?

Correctors are contrasting shades of makeup that neutralize rather than cover.

Why use them?

To reduce (neutralize) the distractions (redness, darkness etc) and enhance the attractions (eyes & lips).

By neutralizing distractions, the main attractions come into clearer focus.

What’s the difference?

Concealers cover. Correctors neutralize.

You use 50% less corrector to neutralize than you would use concealer to cover. This also allows you to use less foundation.

Concealers, like foundations, can oxidize and get darker adding a weathered appearance to skin as day progresses (see my blog about how to choose the perfect foundation).

Correctors brighten and last longer without the aging affect of oxidization.

If you would like to see how great your skin can look using correctors along with concealers please call me to set up an appointment for a makeup lesson.
