NJ Women - Makeup for Glasses

August 17, 2016

Many of my eyeglass wearing clients ask for tips to bring their eyes out from behind their glasses.

I suggest concentrating on your brows and your eyeliner to strengthen the frame of your eye to stand up to the frame of your glasses.

It is in my experience that emphasizing the eyebrows and eyeliner have the greatest impact when paired with glasses.

The finer nuances of eye shadow often get lost through the translation of glasses. If you prefer wearing full eye makeup including eye shadows, by all means do.

Glasses open the opportunity to wear a brighter or darker lip color than you would normally choose. Because eye glass frames grab our attention it works to use a slightly more attention grabbing lip color to balance the two main features of the face, eyes and lips.

If you would like to learn how to do your eyes to have the most impact and balance with your glasses and get that perfect pop of a lipstick color, please contact me for an appointment.
