Bridal makeup is all about creating a glamorous look that appears natural in person and stands out in photos. Not only does the makeup have to look amazing, it has to last. Here's how...
First things first; moisurizer. Just like your morning coffee, your skin needs a jump start for the long day ahead. Whether it's the day of your wedding or not, you need to moisturize. Not once, but twice starting right after the shower. Moisturized skin looks youthful, refreshed, rested and healthy. You want to look all of those things; trust me.
Wait about 20 minutes for the moisturizer to sink in, blot your face with a tissue to remove any excess lotion and then apply a very small amount of primer. Primer creates an even surface by filling in fine lines and pores, seals in the moisturizer and allows foundation to go on smoothly, This is the secret to an airbrushed look.
Just like the face primer, using an eyeshadow primer will enhance the longevity of the makeup. Primer makes it easy to blend out eyeshadows for a seamless look. Without a primer, eyeshadows will crease and appear dull, especially in photos.
I'm sure this goes without saying but waterproof mascara and eyeliner are a must! Not all water proof products are created equal, so make sure you test them out ahead of time. And don't forget the makeup remover!
